Money, Socializing, Or Spirituality? Which One Is The Most Important?

I have three options for you, and you have to choose one.

#1. Financial freedom. It means having enough money that leads to a lavish life full of comfort and luxurious things.

#2. Socializing behavior that helps you win the hearts of others and make new friends.

#3. Path of spirituality, that makes your life contentful, peaceful, and gives you overall mental satisfaction.

What would you choose? Feeling confused? The same problem occurred in my life and here I will tell you my story. Starting with the problem, suffering from it, and then solving it, I will share everything.

Money

The role of money in our lives is very important and it has a pre-occupied space in our mindset. Nobody came to us at any point in life to tell us the importance of money.

By default, we know it, because, from a very early age, our desires, emotions, feelings and so many other things are related to money.

In my teenage, when everyone makes a decision for career choice, I related my profession and passion with money. It was my mistake, and after a few years, I realized it.

Still, there was always pressure to become a financially stable person in my life. But at a point, I was overwhelmed with this pressure very badly and I wanted to quit the money-focused rat race. However, a fear of living without money always disturbed me and raised questions like, how I will survive without money?

Socializing

When I was seeking actual satisfaction in my life, some people suggested on becoming more social. One of my friends, who is a social worker, insisted to get involved in social cause activities.

His point was to make me observe other’s life and build relationships with people from different segments of the world so that I can explore human values and ethics in this materialistic world.

I involved myself in these activities, but still, I was not enjoying life. At a point, I felt that I can help others and become a part of the different social groups in the world only if I have enough money.

It made me more confused and questions started popping in my mind like, shall I go back and start earning more money?

Spirituality

After getting upset from the first two options, I got another opportunity to make my life more joyful and it was spirituality. I came to know about spirituality while I was searching for the best blogs to read about life. I found a Swami Mukundananda spirituality video and it helped me understand the basics of this path.

I started meditation and decided to go on the path of spirituality. It was the exact opposite of a socialized or money-oriented lifestyle. On this path, I learned that real satisfaction and happiness are neither in the money nor in the socialized lifestyle. The real happiness is inside you.

After a few months of practice, I found that spirituality detached me from materialistic things. It was really good, but things became worst when I felt that I was getting detached from people also.

No offense, please! I’m not saying that spirituality detaches you from people, but it enables you to live a life without getting attached to materials or people.

I was terrified of continuing the spiritual practice, because of detachment from people who were close to me. It is really hard to live with people you love and have no attachment with them.

What’s The Point?

All these three paths seemed difficult for me. I was still perplexed about my life. I wanted to know which path is the best.

After reading a lot of books such as “The seven spiritual laws of success” and “The laws of the spirit world”, etc., and watching hundreds of videos to learn how to adopt positive thinking for life, I found a solution.

And the solution is Balance. All of the aforementioned paths are important and they are necessary to some extent.

To live a happy life with the people that you love and have the things you desire, you need to follow all three paths in a balanced way.

In a nutshell, rather than having just these three options, we need to have a fourth option that includes all these three in a balanced way.

So, Money, Socializing, Or Spirituality? Which one would you choose?
