The Most Effective Way To Save Earth | World Earth Day

What’s the most effective thing that can save the earth? I ask you, all of you!

Do you have the correct answer? Initially, maybe not. Then let’s find out the exact answer to this question on World Earth Day 2022. 

Every year this day comes, and we all see World Earth Day Quotes floating on different social media platforms. You might also recognize some World Earth Day activities on this day, such as other officials from various entities sharing their thoughts through the World Earth Day Speech. Despite all these activities, why are we not capable of giving a quick answer to this question?

Some of you might think that everything is essential, such as planting trees, saving water, and all, but can we set a hierarchy for all these responsibilities. Can we define what is most important to preserve the earth and put it on high priority?

Sounds awkward? But I have an answer to this question. Maybe my question has left you with skeptical thoughts, but it is essential to be confused, curious, and courageous. This question is not only connected to World Earth Day but to the everyday life that we humans are living.

A few days ago, this question came to my mind when I saw someone dropping litter on the ground. It seemed like not a big issue when I saw it at the individual level, but when I imagined its consequences, in the long run, I got disturbed, and it might disturb you too.

So what do I want to say? Litter is the only problem that is harming the environment? No, there are so many other problems too. Then why I’m forcing you to think about that person who was dropping litter on the road?

After seeing that person, I drowned myself so deeply in thinking about the things that harm our planet. However, my focus was not on the things that harm our environment, but I was more curious to know what that person thought when he cluttered the planet?

Why didn’t he give it a thought before he dropped the piece of shit on the road? There could be a plethora of reasons like:

He might not know how harmful it is to the planet.

OR

He might think that it is not his but someone else’s responsibility to save the earth.

..And so on.

There are many reasons, but let me tell you the exact cause. The actual reason is that saving the earth is not his priority.

He knows that it is harmful; he knows that it is the responsibility of all of us, including him, to save the planet. Still, he is not giving a thought to it; why?

Because he has a long list of problems in his life, and damage to the earth is one of them, he made a mistake while setting priorities. He sees it as a responsibility with a soft focus when it comes to saving the earth.

Let’s not blame him alone; this thought process is similar to most humans. We know that our activities damage the earth and we have to protect it, but still, we don’t pay attention. Not because we want the earth to be damaged, but because we don’t see it as a high-priority responsibility.

What’s The Solution?

Many of you have got the answer; let me make it straightforward for those who might not have got it. The most important thing to save the earth is the “priority .”If every human being knows that it is a high priority to save the earth, then it becomes a lot easier for the whole of humanity to save this planet.

Let us pledge on this World Earth Day and make it a priority for all of us to “Invest In Our Planet” which is the theme this year.
