Like a Stray, I find my way!

Just today, I was watching the movie “Dog Gone Trouble.” It reminded me of the days when I used to feel like a pampered-turned-stray dog who is rendered homeless, or let’s say, jobless. Ok, I’ll admit my condition was more due to my decision! ☺

After years of service in a company, I now felt like a misfit. I had developed a great bond with the people I worked with. Everything seemed to be “good,” but there was something that didn’t feel right. I felt suffocated and wanted to leave. Apparently, I was unable to find words to explain and convince people of my situation. I could not even muster the guts to speak to my family about the entire dilemma.  My work journey had been full of ups and downs, but I had never felt the same. Perhaps the former situations were ‘tough’ ones, while this particular one seemed to be a ‘wrong’ situation I did not want to be a part of. Anyway, I followed my heart, took an independent decision, and hence was on my own!

Come to think of it; it indeed was an extraordinary (or as some may say stupid) step to leave a job without having other in hand. After all, I am no rich man’s lad who could have survived without a monthly income! No doubt, efforts were in place, but fruitless efforts weren’t paying me anything. Yet, I had to stand by my choice, and there was no going back.

Even after leaving the job, I kept visiting the job hub area, paying the same cab rent. Something in me was constantly telling me that it is the time to rethink the journey and do what I really aspire to do (or don’t do what I do not wish to do).

I reached the place every day around 10 in the morning while leaving around 7 pm (with other fellow cab mates). The entire day I used to roam like a stray, sitting at one place and being kicked out of another, definitely feeling homeless but not hopeless. At times, there was good news about getting some work, but nothing was long-lived. The process continued for three months when I had to sit back at home like all others due to Covid-induced lockdown.

It’s been more than a year, and I am still home; however, better placed ☺. The last months weren’t quite easy. It made me question my education and qualifications of which I was fairly proud of at one time. I was rejected from numerous jobs, some I did not go for, and I became a victim of fraud for some others. The ones for which I got selected seemed like a temporary resort. Be that as it may, I am finally finding stability in my life. I am working in some fields and ways I had never thought of. Still confused about how things landed up here. But what matters, in the end, is that I am happy and contented with the path I am on!

This is what we do to change with the times ☺.

We would love to hear some stories or exciting experiences from your end as well! After all, it’s all about Finding the Right Way!

  1. Nice blog here! Also your site loads up fast! What
host are you using? Can I get your affiliate link
to your host? I wish my website loaded up as quickly as yours lol

  2. Hey there! I realize this is somewhat off-topic however I had to ask.

Does building a well-established blog such as yours
take a massive amount work? I am brand new to blogging but I do write in my journal daily.

I’d like to start a blog so I can share my personal experience and feelings online.

Please let me know if you have any kind of ideas or tips for new
    aspiring blog owners. Appreciate it!

    1. Hey Mario – firstly many thanks for this wonderful comment. I myself am kind of new to this arena. Hence, a naive suggestion from my end would be to find a blogging website and be honest while you share your personal experiences. People seem to like the same and do get help in unknowing ways through our write-ups. We wish you all the best and hope that you’ll stay in touch. Thanks.

  3. First of all I want to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if
you do not mind. I was curious to find out how you
center yourself and clear your head before writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out.
I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to
begin. Any recommendations or tips? Cheers!

    1. An actual difficulty Marco – I can relate and have been a victim of the same since the time I started writing. We all may have a different mechanism of tackling the same (at times, the same mechanism might not work always for the same person :)) However, if I talk about me – initially I used to start my work with a short Netflix/Prime web series (1 episode not more) and then move to exploring and writing. Not just one, I may have exploited various ways ;), that we can discuss later 🙂

  10. Hi there this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!|
