How to Maintain Healthy Lifestyle During Winters

While coming back from festive mode, it seems a good change seeing people gradually wrapping themselves up in ‘wintery’ attires. The slow shift from half sleeves to full sleeves, half jackets to full jackets sets up a pleasant mode for the onset of winters. Being a die-hard fan of winters 😀, I welcome the season with open arms. However, not all have a taste for cold weather, and some genuinely face a hard time adjusting to it. While some are gripped with season-changing diseases, others dislike the very thought of winters.

Well, like or dislike somehow play an irrelevant role in case of inevitable changes. Hence, “adapt to adopt” is a funda I think that can help!

Lifestyle

Itsy-bitsy changes to routine might come a long way as an aid to winters.

  1. Sluggishness? It’s natural to feel like a sloth in winters. Better ‘suit-up’ and get going. Staying always indoors and tucked in blankets won’t help. It is essential to get fresh air at least for some time during the day.
  2. Couch potato? I bet this way you are likely to become a chubby teddy. Besides sitting on a couch and watching TV, it involves a big tub of snacks/chips/popcorn. To start with, let’s replace this tub with a bowl of fresh fruits and veggies. If you love smoothies, it is time you try different flavors of green smoothies. It will at least support your immune system in surviving the winters successfully. Additionally, it’s an apt way to detoxify your body.
  3. Both 1 and 2? You need physical exercise as a must. Being physically active can help avert various issues hovering around bite-chilling weather. Workout, do physical exercise at home, go gyming, do yoga (even better if you can get to do the same in the sunlight – good source of Vit. D, will keep your body warm, and help in regulating blood flow).
  4. Water loss? We typically intake less water during winters. It is replaced with caffeine or alcohol; however, these products are no replacement for water. Hence, it is important to drink lots of water and stay hydrated.
  5. Sleepy sleepy? Sleepy during the day, is it? Probably, you are lacking a good night’s sleep. Don’t do that, please 😐 – sleep like a baby 👶, wake up like a warrior 💪.
  6. Feeling cold? Obviously, dear – it is cold 😄!! Wear softy warmy clothes – eat warm – drink hot milk – enjoy Maadi!

Deterrents

  • Blankets
  • Pockets/Hand Gloves
  • Cold Water
  • Warm Caps/Mufflers/Socks

These exquisite winter features sometimes come as a deterrent to a healthy lifestyle. We don’t leave our blankets, avoid regular handwashing, keep away from basic hygiene practices, thus inviting more problems than we’d ever imagined.

Products

Well, when we have a problem identified, it is up to us on how quickly we 🏃 towards the solution. Team STERLOC has one easy-peasy answer to many of the ‘deterrent’ problems, available in small handy bottles. Apart from being a non-toxic product, it is as effective as any disinfectant/sanitizer should be. A part of our natural response system, it attacks the invading germs, breaks down their walls, and wrecks them. Hence, it is your ideal partner when hand washing becomes a trouble for you. In addition, it has proven to be an efficacious skin-care product, so much so that dermatologists recommend its use for the treatment of skin problems like acne and eczema. I hope this very statement would have taken away any worries/panics you might have regarding the frequent use of this product on hands, especially during winters. Sooo, we may use this product for a safer you and healthy skin! ☺

What are we waiting for? 👀 Let’s be prepared and pack our Winter Emergency Supply Kits!! It’s nothing more than a backpack with essentials, including gloves, socks, shoes, masks, sanitizer, and disinfectant..
