#Change ho rhe ho, toh zinda ho tum…

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara!

A classic creation by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, ZNMD completed its 10 years recently. Coming out of the exit points of the hall, we all were oozing out a mix of feelings, “excited” being the most dominant one. “Thank God! I watched it on the big screen,” is all I felt ☺

The movie beautifully encapsulated a range of human emotions. It opened up a lot many muted feelings. In a world of hashtags, ZNMD would’ve bagged a number of them, considering the aura it had spawned.

Reunion. A reunion with your best buddies! The very thought reunites you with a flash of memories from the past. We all have done a few ‘things’ with our friends; that we always cherish revisiting.

Misunderstandings. Misunderstanding is struggling with something that does not even exist! Clarifying even a speck of doubt with someone we are attached to can save us from ruining a wonderful relationship.

Fears. Conquering your fears is the hardest thing to do. I preach to do so but have honestly avoided many such circumstances for myself! However, facing the same and coming out a winner carries with it a joy word can’t describe; but ZNMD was able to.

Realization. On our life journey, we tend to hurt many people, more often our loved ones. Some might be intentionally, others unintentionally (for most of the time, a lack of maturity). We might not weigh then how even our little actions or words are wounding someone. But the realization can come with time. What will you do then? Ignore it and take the guilt to the grave, or be brave enough to accept and let the person know how sorry you are? The decision is yours – see the movie, it will help!

Balance. While I’m not that old :P, the little experience of my life has taught me how crucial it is to maintain a balance in everything. ZNMD superbly covers one such totally hyped yet missed by many, the “work-life balance.” See it to feel it! What? You’ve already seen.. It’s ok; the movie is totally worth to be watched again

Change. Change ho rhe ho to zinda ho tum.. A very prominent dialog of the film. You are alive if you are changing. #Changing with the times!

YourHeartHasAVoice. This is my most precious take from the picture. Your heart speaks; take time to listen. It tells you if you are happy or sad, what you want or don’t, what you love or hate… Yes, you might hear it wrong for the first few times or for many times frequently. But that’s ok.. doing several wrongs can only help you in finding out the right!

I hope I didn’t make the fascinating movie look like a lesson plan! This and much more is what ZNMD has to offer…

So people UNBOX yourself as, “A man should be in a box only when he is dead!”

Another thing before ending is the mention of the fabulous star cast of ZNMD – individuals who inculcated a feeling of self-growth in us through their instinctive acting skills. Imran Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin, with unmatchable support from veterans like Naseeruddin Shah.
