Likewise, running shapes up the bodies and minds of the runners, becoming the heart &amp; soul of those who have the sport in their blood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Running has a give &amp; take relationship &#8211; let\u2019s see how!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Body!<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We typically visualize a runner as someone with a fit physique and outlook. However, all runners are not same &#8211; they have different bodies! Hence, becoming a runner requires a lot from your body, especially while initiating or returning after a break.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Developing a running habit may have varied impacts on your body. However, once you fix your thought on it &amp; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sterloc.com\/blog\/are-you-marathon-ready\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are ready to give it all<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, be convinced it will not leave without returning the favor ?<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Healthy body -&gt; Less risk of diseases<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Stronger knees<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Enhanced stamina<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Strengthened bones<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Improved cardiovascular health<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Well-shaped and strong legs, hips, calves, thighs, abs, &amp; shoulders<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Nay to extra calories<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Live more ?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, with running, you need to balance &amp; focus on other activities as well. This could include exercises, yoga, indoor cycling, swimming, etc.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brain!!<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well, for our body to say Yes to anything, our brain must support it. Therefore, a strong body won\u2019t help unless you have a strong mind! Do you? Then, be prepared to embrace its gifts as well ?<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It will lift your mood &amp; take all the depression away.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It enhances the focusing skill of your mind.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It helps you have a deep &amp; peaceful sleep.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It positively shapes your mind, which helps counter age-related cerebral degeneration.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It grooms the brain in a way to reason sensibly in stressful situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, how to build a strong mind &amp; push a little harder for the next mile?<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Monitor your progress<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do it daily; even a 0.1% progress each day will boost your confidence.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Visualize the outcome<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visualize the moment you just do it &#8211; sweaty face, fast breathing, cheering sounds, the road ahead but track behind &#8211; voila! Well, why just the outcome? Close your eyes &amp; visualize the little progress you plan to make each day.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Try a different perception.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Running won\u2019t always be a pleasant experience &#8211; there\u2019d be a pain! The pain would bring unpleasant thoughts, \u201cI\u2019m really not fit!\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s too hard for me!\u201d \u201cI can\u2019t!\u201d However, let&#8217;s this time tweak the sentences &amp; see if it makes a difference &#8211; \u201cI am building my cardiovascular strength,\u201d \u201cI\u2019ll work hard for it!\u201d \u201cI can,\u201d \u201cMy body burns as it is getting stronger!\u201d Additionally, you may also assign yourself a success mantra. For instance, <i>I have it in me, I am strong, I will evolve at each stage &#8211; physically &amp; mentally<\/i>, or whatever works for you.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Divide &amp; Conquer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Divide your workout\/routine\/preparation plan into smaller chunks. Focus on each piece &amp; the associated <i>mini<\/i> goal rather than on the entire target in one go.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Remember &amp; Recall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Always remember your past experience in the right way, and recall your past runs &amp; wins.
